How to set up a case study?

The Master Market Research action plan will help you work through the process from asking for interviews to downloading the transcripts and the FTFF template can help you generate questions to ask your interviewees.

Following are the steps to conducting a case study:

  • Part 1: Invite customer to a case study interview
  • Part 2: Complete case study interview - this can be done via Zoom. Be sure to record your interview!
  • Part 3: Set up the case study interview for processing, we use Descript to download the transcripts of our interviews.
  • Part 4: Create a written case study
  • Part 5: Create a video case study - pick out the aspects of the interview you found most valuable for your study. We use Descript to edit the case study videos.
  • Part 6: Create promo materials - using recording and transcripts you can create promotional materials such as a blog, email, various social media posts, small video clips and full video clips.
  • Part 8: Share your case study on various promotional channels!
  • Part 9: Integrate your case study in your product’s promotional materials (email sequences, sales page, testimonials page)
