  1. Identify 12-20 publications that publish content in your industry.
  2. Choose 5-10 publications to target.
  3. Follow each of your chosen publications *and their editors* on social media and subscribe to their email lists.
  4. Interact with each publication and/or editor on social media.
  5. Write a brief statement that explains who you are.
  6. Visit each publication’s website and learn what their requirements are for writers.
  7. Discover what the most popular articles of each of your chosen publications have been.
